Ezmie (SCCYP Communications Manager) and I spent the whole day in Dumbarton. In the morning we were party to the facilitation of Dumbarton Academy secondary school initiating the process for Rights Respecting Schools(RRS). This consisted of meeting of the pupils and teachers, followed by separate meetings of the pupils and teachers, ending with a joint meeting of the RRS Steering Group. I said a few words at the end. It was an interesting insight into the process and the role played by UNICEF facilitators. In the afternoon, we met with several members of the council and voluntary organisations which allowed for discussion on the strategic approach, including A Right Blether.
