Meeting with Sally Lees - NHS Lothian and Child Health Services Commissioner. I agreed with Sally to speak to the national child health commissioners group and await an invite. I visited the Family Nurse Partnership in Craigmillar. This is the only pilot in Scotland franchised to work with the model of early family intervention pioneered by David Old (University of Colorado). I agreed to ongoing contact as I am most interested in the development of this pilot.
Meeting with Louise McDonald, Young Scot. This was a general catch up meeting as Katie is leading on any specific joint working arrangements with Young Scot. It was interesting to hear more about their Truth About Youth project as it is part of a nationwide project sponsored by the Co-operative movement in an attempt to improve the public image of young people – highly relevant to the positive image group.
