I chaired the third stakeholders review of the Scottish Refugee Council work on unaccompanied asylum seekers – Stefan Stoyanov present. This has been a very rewarding piece of work as there has been real progress through the establishment of the SRC/Aberlour Childcare Trust guardianship project in Glasgow. It has also provided an opportunity for reflection on the issues around for young people in the asylum process. As a result of other developments, consideration is being given to the most appropriate process for review of issues for young people in future years.
