I met with Alaistair Delaney and Kate Cherry (HMIE) with regard to the potential follow up to a RIGHT blether – in particular, the child abuse and neglect agenda. We discussed the approach to materials and resources in schools (they felt that there was a lot of material for schools already) and the approach that highlights good practice for potential roll out – and the need for there to be a more assertive promotion of that which is perceived to be good practice.
I was due to attend the Scottish Parent Teachers Council parliamentary reception, but I had to return to Glasgow for an appearance on Newsnight – they were covering the publication of the early years report, Join the Dots produced by Professor Susan Deacon.
