Festival of Politics, Holyrood – Katie present. I chaired a meeting young people debating motions in Scottish Parliament chamber. There were around 200 young people in the chamber debating 9 motions with an audience of around 100. There was the opportunity to promote this as part of a RIGHT blether and the debating time flew in. The most debated motion was in relation to young people having sufficient leisure activities (things to do) in their home area. (Annie Lennox attended for the first 20 minutes of the debate.)
