I met with Amanda Cornish (Scottish Institute of Human Relations) and Moira Shoulman (Psychotherapist with NHS Fife). They have concerns around the under provision of child psychotherapists in Scotland and the lack of movement on the recommendations from the Special Needs Assessment Programme. I informed them of my understanding of the relevant policy developments and they will follow up on these.

I met with Erica Clarkson (SPS). I informed her of my interest in the use of custody for children aged 16/17 years and the close link to children leaving care. Indeed this has a link to a significant proportion of the 16-21 year olds in custody. Erica agreed to look at the routine recording of young people in custody aged 16-21 years who have had a background in care.
