Young Carers Festival – Ezmie and Gillian present with stall. This is an annual event with 450 (250 on the day) young carers attending from across Scotland. I was part of a panel of 20 politicians, local authority and health staff taking a plenary Q&A towards the end of the festival. It has got me thinking about the way I engage with events such as this and the potential to hold ‘hearings’ that then for the basis of a report to Scottish Parliament.
