I attended an early years conference hosted by Action for Children and participated in a Q&A panel session. I was encouraged by the focus on evaluation, evidence based practice and measurable outcomes. I did get me thinking that there a great variations on what different people mean by evidence based and a lack of self assessment in terms of what the evidence means for current practice – much of which is may be challenged in terms of the strength of the robustness of the evidence base.
