It was my privilege to chair the Children’s Summit conference held in Dynamic Earth. This was a unique event addressed by two Cabinet Secretaries (Mike Russell and Nicola Sturgeon), two Ministers (Adam Ingram and Shona Robison) and Harry Burns, the Chief Medical Officer. The centrepiece of the conference was for delegates (200 senior civil servants and local authority and health officials) to sign up to a pledge for children. A Right Blether set the scene and I am hopeful that A Right Big Blether can be part of the follow up.
I attended the prize-giving for Bathgate Academy. The audience was around 150 including parents, pupils and staff. This was another occasion where I was able to share in the celebration of the achievements and talents of young people. The Head teacher informs that he is a champion for local sign up for A Right Blether.
