I spoke at an event in Edinburgh City Chambers, hosted by Perth College, UHI. I shared a platform with former Children’s Commissioner for England, Sir Al Aynsley Green – it was good to meet up with him again. The event was marking recent research on the realisation of Article 12 of the UNCRC in Scotland and fitted well with recent work we have undertaken. Several people in the audience highlighted the issue of communication for children with disabilities which relates well to our current considerations of my office’s Strategic Plan.
