Visit to Renfrewshire Council – Cathy present. The initial meeting included senior managers from education and social care – and also the chief executive. As well as sharing strategic approach and a Right Blether, council staff shared work already undertaken in the council. We were accompanied by Susan Bell and Alan Locke on a visit to St. Catherine’s primary school where we met 12 pupils and had a really excellent discussion with loads of ideas.
We went onto Corseford school run by Capability Scotland for pupils with complex physical disabilities – signed up for a Right Blether. The school has 39 pupils and we met around 30 pupils, most of whom had significant communication challenges.
