I met with Christine Stirling and Christine Stirling (both have the same name) from the Travelling Showmen’s Guild. They are pressing for the case for the show people to be recognised as an identified group – they believe this will reduce discrimination including the impact on their children and young people. I outlined the strategic approach to the work of the office. I agreed to respond positively to their invitation to visit their homes – most likely after the summer when the most intense travelling period is over.
