Children's Rights Officers
Children's Rights Officers work with children and young people who have been or are 'looked after', to help them know what their rights are and represent their views at meetings. A number of local authorities (councils) in Scotland have a Children's Rights Officer. Who Cares? Scotland
This organisation gives individual advocacy and support to young people in care or leaving care. Who Cares? Scotland has advocates working in most local authorities. This website gives more information including photos and contact details of the workers in each area.
Childline
If you feel that you need to talk to someone then get in touch with ChildLine. They deal with lots of different types of situations such as bullying, discrimination, racism, bereavement and lots more. The general phone number is 0800 1111. You can give them a call any time, day or night, and they will put you in touch with the right person to deal with your specific enquiry.
